Seattle isn’t a city often recognized for its mid-century architecture, but it still has some gems. Due to the many phases of progress since the 1962 World’s Fair, plenty of buildings have been demolished, while those left don’t necessarily have landmark status within reach. The hope of this project is to find the flattering angles of the underappreciated and tucked away apartment buildings, still-standing houses, and other mid-century structures in Western Washington while they’re still intact.
Inside Volume Six, you'll find a beautiful Pierce County bowling alley, the home of famed designer/preservationist Victor Steinbrueck, and much more. Included with Volume Six, is a silver 1" happy sun pin.
